Celebrating Community at Waverley Oaks Athletic Club
For more than 45 years, Waverley Oaks Athletic Club has been an important part of the Waltham community. More than a state-of-the-art athletic facility, the Club has become a place where members come together to build strength, pursue their goals, and form lasting connections.
Each September, that community spirit is on full display at the Club’s annual Member Appreciation Party – a much-anticipated celebration dedicated to the members who make Waverley Oaks Athletic Club such a special place.
This year’s event brought members and staff together for an evening filled with great food, sweet treats, games, raffle prizes, and plenty of opportunities to connect and celebrate.
The event was made even more memorable thanks to the generosity and participation of local businesses, including Bistro781, Wicked Bagel, City Streets Restaurant, Moozy’s Ice Cream , Mighty Squirrel Taproom & Kitchen., Smoodi, Fit AF Nutrition, Biena Snacks, Quebrada Baking Co., Redprint Fitness, The Waltham Times, Birdie Bar Golf Club, Olea Beauty, Bad Wave Streetwear, and more.
A CELEBRATION WITH A PURPOSE
This year’s charity partner was the Community Day Center of Waltham, an organization dedicated to supporting individuals in the local community who are experiencing homelessness or housing instability.
Throughout the event, donations of much-needed clothing and toiletry items were collected to support neighbors in need. The partnership added an important element of giving back to a celebration centered around community.
